Alternate Nostril Breathing

I have been doing this daily ever since I received an email from the beautiful Kerry Rowett of Awaken Kinesiology a year ago. I do it every morning while I’m walking to wake up my mind into clear thinking for the day. If ever I can’t seem to fall asleep, I do this for a few rounds and I’m out like a light – works every single time 👌🏼

At this busy time of year it’s especially helpful if you are feeling tired and need a pep up or over stimulated and need to calm down – it works for both!

This is the email in which Kerry explains more about this ancient breathing technique.

Have you ever found yourself awake at night with an over-active mind? Do you ever find it hard to wind down and stop thinking about what you’ve got to do tomorrow? It’s hard to be stuck in your head AND experience inner calm. How’d you like to enter a blissful sleep and enter your day calm and energised? (Even if you’ve got a million things on your plate right now.) Today, I am sharing with you an incredible technique that will turn your mind chatter way down while transforming your brain into a Zen temple (really!). It’s called Alternate Nostril Breathing. This ancient breathing technique will literally turn on your parasympathetic nervous system so you get out of fight-or-flight mode and instead flow into your day OR flow into dream-land. Whatever you need, it only takes a few minutes and is extremely powerful. Alternate Nostril Breathing is one great way to prevent and gently heal symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue. Press play and let me show you how easy it is. I highly recommend you incorporate Alternate Nostril Breathing into your morning and evening routines. But even if you only use it in emergencies only, you’ll find it has a profound influence on your consciousness and overall calm.
